IT ALL STARTED LAST FRIDAY

It has been a bit since our last blog update. I have been back from London for a week and a half now. The trip was very productive and Sane has now become Three. Pierre Darnton has join Steve and I to complete the axis of insanity.

Since I have been back it has been a very busy. However I did find time to get out of the office for a bit. Last week I visited our Berlin Showroom space. It will be at the West Berlin / Lodown Gallery at Brunnenstrasse 56. Currently they have an exhibition up from Steven Harrington / Six Pack and Element. HoweverI will take it over from July 17th - 27th to show our stable of brands. We will also be hosting a Keep Calm exhibition on the evening of July 17th, more on that tomorrow! Here are some picts of the Steve Harrington show and the space.

When I got home from the office Friday evening there was a big surprise waiting for me. My girlfriends Niece had got us onto the guest list to see Beck. I must say the show was amazing, he played all the hits along with a bunch of new stuff. He is an amazing guitar player!! I could not help but think of Kurt Cobain when I was watching him on stage. thanks again Sylvia for the hook up!!!!! It was truely an amazing show.

Saturday we woke up and drove down to the countryside to spend the weekend in my Girlfriends family garden. For a guy who grew up in the concrete jungle of LA, spending time in a true country garden picking fresh fruit and vegetables is quite an amazing experience. It was very relaxing even though I did have to do some garden work. Here are some picts from the weekend.

GOODHOOD PRESS DAY RECAP

So yesterday we were hanging out all day at the GOODHOOD shop in London for the press day that Steve organized. The day started with escorting 15 cases of premium belgian beer from our friends at Duvel-Moortgat from cellar to store to get it chilled and ready for the thirsty members of the press ... is it me or are the press always hungry and thirsty ... who knows ?? i digress ... as we familiarised ourselves with the colours, styles and the plethora of brands from Bernard Wilhelm to Woodwood to Hyde SK the folks of the press started to arrive, from bi-annuals to weeklies to monthlies to the onliners they swarmed in swathes around the stock peppering us with questions ... admittedly instant PR mode isn't the easiest personality switch to make however i think we managed just fine and once there we kinda enjoyed our new personalities ... well maybe steve did !

Here are a few snapshots from the day.

BACK FROM THE LAND OF PLENTY

Well I have now been back in Berlin since Saturday and I must say that I wish I was still laying on the beach in Sardinia. I do not now about you but I find it hard to get back in the swing of things after a week of holiday.

The rest of my week was just like the first bit. We tool long walks on the beach, swam in the warm water and ate fresh seafood. It was our little heaven and our last alone holiday due to the fact that next year when we go the two will be three.

On Friday we had to drive from the south of the island all the way to the north in order to get to the airport that flys to Berlin. I love this as it gives us the opportunity to drive the entire East Coast of Sardinia and enjoy what the island has to offer. Sardinia is pretty much a self sufficient island. They grow and raise all their own food, from Oranges, Apples, Cherries to Cows, Goats, and Sheep. You name it you can find it here. It is amazing everything you eat and drink comes from the island itself. They have their own Beer, their own Cheese, their own salami and of course all the fresh seafood your heart desires.

Here are some photos from the rest of our trip and the drive home.

this was the beach we sat at most days and was just a 5 minute walk down the beach from our hotel!!!

Beach houses!!!!

There was quite a bit of this going around on the beach!!!

Sardinia Beer!!!

Sardinian Chips made of wheat!!! Taste kind of like Tortilla Chips

We ate like this pretty much everyday!!!

holiday reading. If you have ever skateboarded you may like this!!

Our rental. When in Itlay drive Italian!!! The following photos are from our drive up the east coast and into Olbia. We call this the Sardinian Safari, you will see why below. Also keep in mind that these were all taken from inside the car on the roadside!!!

Football on the cliffside anyone?

This is a half tunnel through this hillside. pretty amazing to drive through.

Here is the inside view!!

One thing I forgot about was the fact that Sardinia had run out of Petrol due to it being a holiday there last Monday. Being that there are only two Gas Stations within the 20K of Villasimius!!! When we rolled up to the station we were told that we would have to wait till tomorrow for the gas, then after further inspection we would have to wait till 5pm. Luckily the Attendant was completely wrong and we had to wait an hour!!!

Now back to my real work and reality!!!!
